“With the power of their retro-tinged resistance funk, Los Angeles soul band Chicano Batman present the tropical psychedelia of lead single ‘Color My Life’ makes for a sublime opening statement.” -ROLLING STONE

“Steering their tropicalia-bent indie rock into a glossier pop style, ‘Color My Life’ sounds like a cross of Tame Impala and Neon Indian. Loosely funk synths and bass guide the song through airy percussion.” -CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND

Garage punk band Le Butcherettes was founded in Mexico by vocalist/guitarist Teri Gender Bender (Denver-born and Mexican-bred Teri Suarez Cosío), who has remained the group’s only constant member. Their chaotic sound bleeds the boundaries of punk to embrace everything from mariachi and funk to industrial noise and loopy, absurdist avant-rock.
